Did anyone see this tonight? Which supermarket had the cake with nuts and cherries etc on the top, looked superb but missed where it was from.

i only caught about fifteen minutes of the program, round about the time he was doing the feature on salmon farming ----- fascinating

however, the only scenes i saw actually in a supermarket were in a tesco

if I remember rightly, that particular cake was available for last Christmas, they might not stock it for this year, which would be a shame looked nice

Greg Wallace said that the order was small by Tesco standards.It was either 10,000 or 15,000. So it may not be in every store but, if it is, there won't be many in each.

The prog was one of a series I seem to remember. Past one dealt with among other things storing bananas in low oxygen vaults, and British apple growers growing a popular apple normally imported from New Zealand. The Gala I think.
