Yet Another Excel Problem

I am now finding that I am now unable to Delete some worksheets from some workbooks. Any ideas on this problem. On selecting a worksheet within a workbook all the other functions like copy or rename etc can be selected and will carry out their function but it will not do this for the delete function.

Have you tried highlighting the page in question. right click and then select DELETE?

I can't figure why this problem is occurring (is the sheet locked for editing, perhaps?) but as a last resort you can always copy the sheets you DO want to a new workbook and then save the new workbook under the name of the old one.

I apologise to you both I had a very serious senior moment AND although I've used it so many times in the past I just did not look properly in the drop down but caw (what turned out to be the HIDE OPTION) was not possible and assumed it was the DELETE OPTION and hence all the panic including a tiff with my wife telling me to look properly so SORRY again,
