every year for years sent the above money not a large amount I might add This year with request was

b 2 Christmas cards
c 2open ended cards
d calendar
e badge
f wrapping paper
what I ask is the point ?money should be for charity not to provide gifts

yup.
They believe (their business consultants who also cost a lot of money, told them so) that you will feel guilty if you don't send them some Wonga in return for their kind gifts to you.
I dislike the practice too, my pet gripe are those with a coin stuck to the top that tells how much food or water that would provide to a family. I mutter away....'But you have sent it to me, not them!!'
