Strange logic. It is not clear how depriving Assad of one lot of weapons makes it easier or gives more time to use the other weapons. Of course, if this man wants Assad to use chemical weapons, that's a matter for him.

that's what i was wondering, surely at least if he has disposed of chemical weapons it's one thing, at least for the moment, he can't use them against his enemies,

He obviously wanted US/Western intervention when the chemical weapons issue became such a hot topic earlier this year, and is disgruntled that wiser heads prevailed.
