I thought someone on X Factor was doing a terrible version of a Killers song - badly out of tune.

I like Katy Perry too, but agree that was dreadfully flat.

Appreciate that with live music you've to be there etc, however comparing her with Sam who'd just been on, there's no contest, the 'amateur' was million times better.

Some years ago sporty spice decided to have a go at singing with a rock band. They went to an outdoor rock/blues festival for her opening gig. Within 10mins they had to leave the stage as the crowd were slinging mud at her...rock/blues crowds will show their appreciation for mediocrity...she was lucky it was mud & not bottles!
