Mm Links Results December 2013 Week 2

I think that 'Lady Eleanor' (aka elliemay1) has been a little more generous with the points this weekend and as the game has now closed, I can reveal that her chosen links were:

MOUNTAIN CLIMB/ER/ING
SCENIC VIEW
HEALTH CENTRE
EXERCISE BIKE/BICYCLE

The majority of points were scored by the keep-fit fanatics and hopefuls who owe their success to whoever had the daft idea of tethering a bicycle to a fixed point - and who would have dreamed that that idea would take off?

Well if you had succeeded in the first of the links you might well, if still with enough breath, enjoyed the second of the links. But the likelihood is that you would, thereafter, have needed the recuperation facilities of the third link before being recommended by them to use the last link to return to being a normal sane human being.

Sorry about the delay.
Domestic crisis delayed our evening meal. Big Bang. 30A fuse blown. Electric oven deceased (only the grill still works).


First player, tearinghair, set the virtual wheels in motion with EXERCISE BIKE while roslyn251254, beejay1124 & middlestump pedalled fast enough to claim a bonus as well (2 points each). This healthy choice proved to be a nice little earner for 14 later player to claim single points.

By 9:03, grannydi had remembered an appointment at the HEALTH CENTRE for her 2 points. (Brenden and Evsajo had later appointments for single points)

It was over 15 minutes into the game before jobjockey paused to take in the scenery. SCENIC VIEW earned him his 2 points. Seekeerz was the only other player with a scenic eye, but unfortunately too late for the bonus.

The final link held out until late afternoon when Mrs O fancied becoming a MOUNTAIN CLIMBER - the only taker for that option.

I almost gave Onty the Hotshot honours, but with two double hitters (jobjockey & seekeerz), I had to go for the highest scorer of the game:

Daytime TV Strix!
That is the only aspect of retirement that I don't enjoy and if it were up to me, the TV would stay off.
