A Little Bit Of Christmas Cheer
5 Answers
At work, this is often the time of year when we invariably have to deal with RTA's and the like and all manner of patients who for one reason or another just happen to be having major operations requiring a stay in hospital over the festive period, which is not nice for anyone.
Last week, a young man in his 30's (very young for this type of operation) had to have an oesophagectomy, which was performed laparoscopically.
Today we were informed by the surgeon that exactly one week on he was going home this morning and would be watching his daughter perform in her School Nativity this afternoon, which was his only wish.
Sometimes, you don't always need expensive presents or vast quantities of food and ale to have the best Christmas ever.
