Work in a shop as shop floor assistant, work on a market, tend to people's gardens like watering, cutting grass, (a lot of elderly people are crying out for help), running chores, walking dogs. Put an advert in local newsagents to sell yourself.

try your local environment agency. Here in Brighton they are paying �7.50 per hour for picking up litter. They are all young guys and gilrs and what a lovely way to spend summer, just out and about in parks and the seafront.

I used to work in a department store, doing anything necessary.
Cleaning, Selling, Sitting at the till, Stacking shelves,...

I got it by simply walking into different stores and asking about a job.
