Bad Weather Thread

It's awful here; worst day of the year I think - wet, dank, Number 42 Shade of Cornish Weather Grey, the wind building - predicted 70-80 mph gusts later, the barometer falling.

How is it for you?

It's supposed to be the last evening shop for the good burghers of Truro but who in their right mind wants to be out in this?

The only saving factor is that I have lit a log fire already.......

Stay safe all of you who are affected as it may be a bit rough tonight - and I am hearing to be repeated on Friday.......

Howling like a banshee here in Burnley-by-the-canal. Have it on good authority that it's ideal burgling weather - any sudden noises in the early a.m. are often blamed on the elements - so double check your locks, etc.

Just at it's worst here in Leicestershire now DT, bet its passed from you in Cornwall? It's dreadful. quite scary especially as I'm home alone, Hubby has gone out for the evening, I've switched the patio light off as I don't want to see it from the kitchen, hope no damage will be done .........:( Keep safe everyone x

Well, my plane was diverted to Liverpool so had to get a taxi back to Manchester (where car was) at a cost of £60. Also £36 to park in short stay for the day (anything over 4 hours)!
