Wish I could put the heating on. The old boiler has just gone, and the new one isn't in place yet. It would be just my sort of luck if it started snowing and didn't stop for a week, ánd my plumber couldn't reach me for snowdrifts.
Last time this happened, there was a lorry-drivers' strike, and we had to fetch the parts from across the country in relays of friends and relations. Took weeks.
