When I was at high school, I was popular. New everybody, QB, slept around. Now, at college, I met someone. She was this really closed off person who was quiet and shy. She never let anyone in but she was interesting. She let me become her friend and now I'm in love with her. I got to kiss her and she's never really been in a relationship but were kinda serious. One night while we were making out it got a little carried away and right before IT happened, she started shaking and crying. She was so embarrassed and she wouldn't tell me why. The next couple of weeks she avoided me. But, I finally got her to admit that she was raped when she was 14. I have no idea what to do. I thought she was just shy but now I understand why. I feel like I need to save her somehow. Does anyone have any pointers for me?

Be understanding. Go at her pace, ie no pressure. Time was when folk were expected to wait until married anyway, so abstainance ought not be a problem for you. But your girl will need your support.

All you can do is be kind to her, not push for sex until she wants to. If she never told anyone else, never had any rape counselling, it's not too later for her to seek help now.
