What Is The Best Album Of 2013?
I'm keen to hear the AB community thoughts on this, as I subscribe to Spotify premium, which means whatever you say, I can download immediately.
For me, the album (are we still allowed to call them 'albums') of the year, by a country mile is Lorde's 'Pure Heroine'.
But what else was there?
Which album from this year do you go back to again and again, because it's so perfect?

A tie between ...
SISTRIONIX by Deap Vally
WAVES by Bitter Ruin
ENGLISH RAIN by Gabrielle Aplin
I agree about The Shocking Miss Emerald, up to a point. But Caro has slightly let the side down as a live performer. I saw her on her last tour, at the Shepherd's Bush Empire. It was just brilliant. We were right in front of the stage, drinking, dancing, having a fab time.
Her next show in the Spring is at ... the Royal Festival Hall.
I mean, seriously??
So we can all sit in our seats, fifty feet away from the stage?
So, I'm sulking, and not going.

JJ, when we saw Caro Emerald in Brighton earlier this year, although it was all seated, we were right next to the stage. My two girls (now aged 14 and 11) loved it and cant wait to go to next gig. Hopefully, it will be The Stranglers in March. I've seen them a couple of times but they haven't yet. Thank God they can't stand all the One Direction/Miley Cyrus/Dross.
