Glad to see you on here this morning JJ. I read story about missing woman who went into the sea in Brighton and couldnt be found. Hoped not you!
Crossword clue Ballbearing (3,3)
Happy Birthday crossword and thank you for many hours of frustration and pleasure.
Question Author
Can't get that clue, grassy.

We were in another club, just along the prom. It was a mad party night. We've all done it, come out of a club a bit ratted in the middle of the night, gone on the beach, and ended up going for a splash in the sea in the ark. But the waves were wild on Friday night.

Poor girl. The whole town was a bit subdued yesterday. It's hard to feel Christmassy and cheerful when there's a search and rescue team down on the beach.
whilst not wanting to detract from the missing person...

you went out in the Ark???
It's southern slang for dark!
I had visions of Noah - anything's possible in Brighton!
The answer to my clue is Tom Cat.
Question Author
Oh yeah ... the Ark.

lol ... I didn't see that typo.

Tom Cat ?

Why ????

I don't think I've ever run into the sea when the waves have been like that. At least not in the dark ("ark") with my clothes on. I mean I've been in the sea, in the dark, with my clothes on. You take your shoes off, obviously. No matter how trolleyed you are, there's some little preservation instinct that tells you not to lose a shoe in the sea in the dark.
Tom Cat - ball bearing. what dont you understand Jayne?
I don't understand the Tom Cat reference either.
Happy birthday to crossword who has given me many hours of pleasure as well as infuriating me. Example:

I knew the answer was Sirius but it didn't fit.
When I checked the answers the following week, the answer was Lassie
ok. if I have to spell it out - males of the species have balls.
Question Author
