At the start it's just basic stuff. I doubt if they're a charity to you probably get the first few lessons free and then, if you're hooked, you pay for the rest.

Had a quick go, I did spanish at school so it wasn't unfamiliar. There is a good mix of written and spoken Spanish and bits you fail on seem to get repeated 'till you learn them. It doesn't check pronunciation unlike some courses but Spanish isn't difficult to pronounce, so it may not be important. It may be a cut down version of a commercial course.
If you want to learn Spanish it seems OK and it is free, so why not give it a go.
