What no Sticky toffee Pudding?"

A one off, no previous history of stomach disorders mentioned, no adversity to fatty foods, in a woman, i would guess aged about 45yrs of age.(I guess)

Two things spring immediately to mind: firstly acute gastritis due to excess acid and secondly, gall bladder problems.

No, I don't feel that food poisoning as a diagnosis has anything to offer.
off the top of my head, if your body didn't try to expel anything pronto then it probably wasn't food poisoning. Hopefully you'll get a more helpful answer.
well, look at that, you got a more helpful answer even before I called for one...
You are pregnant!

ratter15 no no ni im not pregnant please dont wish that on me lol far too old now
Probably severe wind, IMO - I had two halves of lager the other day, after having none for months, TMI but that gave me dreadful wind too.
boxy

I always had you down as a champagne girl........not a lager woman.

Sqad, that's extremely kind :-)

But I can't stand champagne - nor caviar.
We once had a dreadful episode of trapped wind which was traced down to aged chip pan fat in a restaurant.
I thought I would share this wisdom.

thankyou so much squad x
Whereabouts is the pain (though I hope you are feeling better now!)?

Depending on area it does sound a bit reminiscent of gallbladder pain.
Question Author
it started quite high up in middle and continued down past belly button felt like someone was twisting my intestines , still a bit tender with twinges of pain now and then but im alot better even ate my dinner tonight it was nice to have some food thanks
keep a diary of when it happens and how long after you've eaten what food it happens so you can tell the doctor. it reminds me of gallbladder symptoms but that was mostly accompanied by very sharp pain in the right hand side too, so perhaps it is wind which can be excrutiating. one tip is to have a really hot bath when you get the pains - was one of the only things that worked for me. hope it gets better soon x
