Hooray! I don't have to cook Christmas dinner this year. Easy to get out of, just wind the strap of your handbag round your ankle and exit the car. Ensure the contents of said bag are heavy enough to prevent both feet exiting and voila - two broken bones in ankle. Why didn't I think of this before?

Bit extreme, quine!

I hope you're back on your feet soon (pardon the pun!).

Blimey. You might be regretting that on Boxing day.

Hope you get better soon...

I do enjoy a good pun, Tonyav, think lack of a drinky-poo might have been the problem.
Handbags have a lot to answer for, result though.

Happy xmas.

First-fitting winna be easy at Hogmanay,Blackiequinie. Enjoy your Christmas dinner -who'll be cooking it? your OH?
Question Author
Quinie, certainly winna be spoilt for choice with which fit to ging first! OH will cook, but my widowed brother (hopeless cook) offered to help me. Was really touched, well more than usual.
Wow! BQ....I went out with a new bag the other day and wrapped the strap around my ankle.....nothing happened...perhaps my luck has changed but I wouldn't wish it on you.

Lovely that you can see the silver lining....take care and enjoy Christmas.

Love Gx

Yes, I think that must have been the problem, everybody knows that a drunk always bounces.

Thanks for all your good wishes, even the plaster technician said drunks are less likely to break bones. I enjoyed my couple of days in hospital, lovely staff despite being worked very hard and food was delicious. We are so fortunate.
