Having brought a i pad mini for my daughter for Christmas. Is there anyway to stop her making purchases out of my bank account. She is only allowed to download free games, not pay for stuff. Is there anyway to block payment. You seem to have to put in your account details to start with.

You set up your own login details just don't tell her you password she does not have to know them .

my apple account has no credit or debit card detail connected to it. If you were feeling generous you could buy her an apple gift card and put that on.

yes, i just checked mine and it has a "no payment type" option in the "My account" section.

We had trouble setting up my daughter iTunes account on her laptop, wouldn't let us proceed without a payment type so we did it through the iPhone which strangely allowed for 'no payment type', scroll down, it's the last option if my memory serves me right.

Yes you are right, its not bank details on the ipad, the bank details are on the itunes on the computer, which I thought would be linked. But maybe there is not a problem. Last night, before I wrapped it, I had to look on utube to find how to switch it on - so I havent a clue.

But today she is enjoying using it, and we have skyped my other daughter and talked to her. So its all good so far.
