Why does a home theatre amp have video input and outputs ?? I thought all it did was process the sound signal and not the picture signal ?? Or am I missing somwthing ??

Could be this allows you to select the video source (VCR, DVD, etc) going to your TV together with the corresponding audio source from your theater remote?
