OK

what happened ?
PP, they did put a stent in. How did you guess? (The problem was an obstruction in the bile ducts, but I don't recall saying anything about that).

They had me in overnight before the op, which puzzled me. Didn't get much sleep though; they were in every two hours to take blood samples and blood pressure. First puzzle solved, but changed for another one; why wasn't one lot enough? Anyway, I was discharged and out at 8pm. Feel OK. Have yet to face Christmas dinner; that may be a test!

Thanks for your good wishes.

And Happy Christmas !
happy Christmas Fred and - if I may be so bold - x
Have good one, Fred.
Hope the surgeon hasn't signed his name on your liver Fred, Happy Christmas.

I'm so delighted you are out Fred - I hope you are feeling OK - thats what matters. You're amazing to go through all that at xmas.

It seems abit cruel to send you home late on xmas eve without any sleep the night before. (unless they gave you drugs!) Late Xmas eve can be very quiet and stark weather-wise (except for Santa) so I hope it wasn't too dim getting home. Do take care Fred and best wishes for the rest of xmas and the New Year. x

How did I guess ? re stent

from your signs and symptoms dear boy.

anyway it should work - you go less yellow (that is the plan)
and you fell better (less jaundiced)

have a good holiday rest of it that is !
