I dont know the full scope of the dream thing, but my guess is that the more you get yourself worked up about something in a period of time, the more your brain will find it hard to switch it off, thus creating memorable thoughts in your sleep.
Presumably your subconscious is trying hard to get through to you. And you're not listening. The only thing it can do is keep 'shouting' at you til you get the message.
Take a look at the dream dictionaries if you want, but more importantly spend a few minutes pondering the dream and how it might relate to your life. When you've got as far as you can with logical thought, just let your brain tick over, stop analysing, and just let things come and go in your mind. Let your imagination roam free (like it does in your dreams). The answer, if there is one, is more likely to come to you this way than from a book someone else wrote in which generalities are stated as answers to what are very personal questions.
