Help quick My dog has swallowed..

Hi all

my little jack russell puppy has swallowed one of my long hairs and is now half way down and hanging out his mouth? I tried to pull it out and he gave a quick squeal.Should i continue and pull it out or leave it till he gags it up or swallows it and poo's it out???

quick advice needed - i dont want to pull it out if theres any chance i will hurt him or his stomach ???

If he's gagging or choking i'd ring a vet for advice theres always an emergency vet at end of telephone,if he's ok i'd let nature take its course,my dogs have swallowed all sorts believe me!

he's not gagging or choking but does seem to have had hiccups for a while? i will do as you said and ley nature take its course . thankyou - i dont know about the puppy resting i think im in need of a rest more through the worry lol

I would give him a small drink of milk. It's not someting I would suggest that your pup drink normally, but he will like the taste, will drink it all, and it will help the hair to go down.

even better, mix the milk with some bread which will help even more to thelp him swallow
