What Is "on Now" App On Lg Smart Tv For?

Not sure if this is the best part of the forum. I just got an LG Smart TV. It has an app called On Now but I can't make sense of it. It keeps complaining that the setup is not done but that only needs an internet connection (I did that by wifi) and postcode. It tells me where I am (Argyll) from the postcode OK.
Is there something else I should be doing? Will there be something useful if I get it working?

Maybe there's just nothing on in Argyll ;)

Halfway down the page linked to below there is a video that explains the app. Looks like you have to answer some questions about your viewing habits at some point so it can recommend.
