Do I Need "putting Straight" On This Matter?

Over Christmas I compiled riddles to put on everyones present so that they had to be solved before knowing which gift belonged to which family member.

On one of the riddles I put "He is camp as all can see, guess who it is? His name is ,,,"

The person for whom it was written looked rather uncomfortable (as did some of the others present) which made me wonder if it was an insult to call someone camp (he is sooo camp actually). Does it infer that that person is gay? I would hate to have upset this lovely person.

Well stargazer does not say they are gay, I know people who are decidedly camp and not gay in the least; just an affectation of behaviour.
Yes. His reaction sounds about right and he will not have been expecting it and probably didn't know what to say or think.
Did he claim the present ?

I'd apologise. (He will probably not want to make a big deal about it though)
