I love the Southwest. We've booked cottages online in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset. Cornwall was very friendly and lots to do.

I have not been to Somerset yet, thanks x
You don't give us any idea of how old you are or what you look for in a holiday.

But if you like nature and the countryside then I can suggest the North Norfolk Coast.

I went there a few years ago and fell in love with the place.

Very flat of course, but HUGE beaches and HUGE skies and lots of nice old fashioned seaside towns (Hunstanton, Sheringham, Cromer etc.)

Lots of wildlife and great for bird watching.

Pace of life is also slower so it is a great place to have a holiday.
yes... did you see that huge beach at the end of Shakespeare in Love? That was Norfolk.

Thank you , had a look on the map and may go in the other direction
Not strictly the UK but I went to Jersey last year and thought it was a great place. Plenty to see and do during a weeks holiday.
Question Author
Yes I want to go to Jersey, maybe next year
Can highly recommend Churchwood Valley holiday cabins, Wembury Bay, Devon. Fantastic setting, secluded, lovely walk through the woods to the beach. Good walks.
If you like to walk a lot the South West Coast Footpath, or a section of it, is a real adventure. Plenty of accommodation but you really need a walking companion to enjoy it fully.
