Does anyone know of any laundry product that does NOT contain the preservative Methylchloroisothiazolinone/Methylisothiazolinone ? I have developed a severe allergy and am horrified to find that even the so-called sensitive skin ones contain it. My fingertips are permanently peeling from this allergy and of course I wear white cotton gloves, but if I wash them... in goes the preservative! Any help will be gratefully received

double or triple rinsing might help.

According to the manufacturer's ingredient list, Ecover powder and liquids don't contain said preservative:

http://www.ecoverdirect.com/products/fragrance-free-non-bio-powder-10-washes/enonbiopowd1800g.aspx?productid=enonbiopowd1800g

And, since it's a preservative (used in products in liquid/gel form), you may find that it's not included in more mainstream POWDER detergents.

Have tried ecover and I got a rash but the bottle didnt list the ingredients, although someone said it does have this stuff in it! I also tried a "pure" expensive organic one and it contained it!

I will go round with my glasses and magnifying glass tomorrow (the print for ingrediants is usually minute!) and see what I can find. Have sorted myself out with shampoos, bath stuff and make up, its just the household stuff to worry about now. Thanks for answers, will let you know wht I find
