LOL Jordy. Personally, I think these Police Community Support Officers (whatever they're called) are a complete waste of public funds. I recently read about a lady whose bus ticket blew out of her hand as she stepped off the bus and one of these "toy policemen" ran up and slapped her with a fine for littering! Give some people a uniform and it goes to their heads and they immediately turn into "the big I am"!

I do hate it when that happens. No doubt the used ticket receptacle was filled to over-flowing, ditto, her pockets and bag. And just when she's desperately searching for a bin along comes a 'freak' gust of wind that wrenches that darned ticket out of her hand.
I do hope she appealed. Maybe you could start a fund, jordy. ;)
As for the story. Feel a bit sorry for the bloke. Seems he had problems. Quite right he's been removed.
That asian guy was a bit cocky, wasn't he. Luckily, for him, I expect all the local police will be giving him and his motor a wide berth in future.

This reminds me of an incident a few years ago- also in High Wycombe, which i was told about by the policeman himself:
He was driving down a winding road and saw a car parked precariously after a blind bend, with its hazard lights on. He stopped and got out to lecture the driver, saying he obviously knew he was causing a hazard, as he'd put his lights on, what if a car came round the bend and didn't see it in time? Etc, etc. As he was saying that, another car drove round the bend, straight into the back of the police car. He said he'd never been so embarrassed!

The really worrying thing about this story is :
"Mr Mehrban, who had been pulled over by Seston on a routine stop"
There is no such thing as a 'routine stop' - that has very loud overtones of a fully fledged Police State.
The Keystone Cop was just acting on a mindless, racist hunch - an all too familiar scenario for anyone looking a bit 'non-white'.

The PCO's have done a decent job round us. We no longer have the groups of foul mouthed youths hanging around and wizzing up and down the pedestrianised high street on bikes. The have also put a stop to vandals at the skate park. I think that anywhere they are only as good as the people who manage them.
Most Police Officers I know do not have much time for PCSOs. They see them as untrained and amateur. If you remember, the were introduced by Home Secretary David Blunkett to do policing on the cheap. The proper Police were against there introduction as they were taking jobs that should have gone to new police recruits.
With that in mind, I am not surprised they ad no hesitation in nicking him.

So I take it from your sarcasm, Svejk, you feel the PCSO did the right thing in imposing a fine on the woman whose bus ticket blew out of her hand? You seem to be unable to grasp the concept that it was an accident (you know, one of those things that happens to us all from time to time), it was not a deliberate act of littering. I stand by everything I said about PCSOs, they are a complete waste of money and I think the Government would be better using the money to recruit proper fully trained policemen.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Please explain what you are trying to start a debate on?
Police arrest a guilty person, even though it was one of their own, where is the problem in that.
Police just doing the job they are paid to do.
