What an excellent three night's viewing this year. In past years it has been a little too technical (in my opinion) but the past 3 nights have been such exciting viewing - especially with watching the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) live from Norway. Out of the three nights I think last night's programme was the best and well worth watching on catch up. Anyone else been watching?

Brilliant! Exceptional programme – television at its best. Anyone who says the BBC isn’t worth the licence fee needs his brains tested! Superb!

Agreed in spades naomi. The street lighting is switched off here on the North East coast of Yorkshire so a friend and myself will be looking for the Northern Lights over the sea.

Apart from the few occasions (in the second part of the programme) when more than one person was talking at once, I agree that this is an excellent programme. I wish there were more like this instead of a plethora or Reality, Soaps, Cooking, Cops, etc.

Totally agree Canary - very educational.

Just looked out here in East Midlands, clear starry night but no sign of Aurora in these parts. The programme said last night they may be seen as far down the country as London, but tonight they changed that to just Northern England which is such a shame for us! Keep looking you Northerners and report back here on your sightings please! :)

I agree with you it was a good programme. The fact that they had some guuys outside RIGHT NOW in the cold looking at the sky was the best bit i think.

I would really like to know if anyone who is not already interested in amateur astronomy found it helpful and if they learned anything.

I agree with Canary42 in that there should be more like this and less reality TV.

i loved it but that woman last night got on my nerves with the way she was speaking at a rate of knots. loved the pics of the aurora Borealis i would love to see this for real
