// Well it is obvious that either walking or marching, they will make their own way there, how else? //
The Police station is on the main road. I suspect most will arrive by car or taxi. The rest by bus. If they live a short distance away, they may possibly walk.
A vigil usually means lighting candles and moping about for several hours. Often there is a religious element to it, prayers, meditation etc. It is totally different than a demonstration. It could descend into a demonstration, but the family have asked for it not to do.
I have heard of demonstrations being banned, but never a vigil.

/// Prime Minster David Cameron has welcomed Ms Duggan's message of restraint, saying: "I very much respect Mark Duggan's aunt for saying 'pursue the case in the courts and not the street'." ///
Yes and we all know Mark Duggan's aunt's feelings on the streets.

Banning Virgil ? Oh no not that !
I think you can ban something that is legal - and that is what (banning it) makes it illegal.
Even OAPs demonstate, AoG and you should think about a ban for anything in case of violence... until it starts. IN the OAPs case, the p'lice would know trouble was brewing when hit by a hail of false teeth.
and yes I would support a demonstration protesting illegal detention of suppose terrorists. [ should it occur ]
The Irish terrorist fiasco - you know when peopel spent more than 10 y in prison [each!] for crimes they rather obviously didnt commit - leaves a big scar.

I agree that his family have a right to mourn his death but had he been my son I would also feel quite a degree of shame too and certainly would not be organising a public vigil.
I can't help but being reminded of the outcry by the friends of Jimmy Saville when the first accusations surfaced about him
