Ridge Tile
8 Answers
We lost a ridge tile off our house in the storm (house, not bungalow). Does anybody have a rough idea of the replacement cost - wondering whether it's worth involving the insurance company or just getting it done.

I actually spotted the missing tile yesterday after deliberately checking for wind damage. I was aware it wasn't overly urgent because of the roofing felt. Interestingly the tile has broken on the roof so from one side of the house you can see no damage, whilst from the other side you can see the gap and half of the tile part-way down the roof.
My dad had a single ridge tile blow off on xmas eve. Roofer (a very good mate) quoted me £120 + vat to put the old one back, bed down and screw down.
