Some help with research into the purchase of a new shower please. I am looking for a free-standing shower cubicle unit, with tray built in and shower, in glass. I have seen a set up for 990, including delivery, but have been told I would need to buy a separate pump, costing approx. 260 from another supplier. I am cautious. The shower unit is a quadrangle. Any advice on this? Is a separate pump a good idea? Thanks.

The need or not for a pump is largely driven by the water pressure you have at the input. If you have a direct water system (no cold water tank in the roofspace), the hot/cold will have similar pressures (also important) and may be large enough.

Different folks have different ideas on styling and appearance. Its a shame you have to have a free-standing unit as you are obviously paying for four sides, not two as with a corner shower. Look carefully at the way the door seals against the frame, and how difficult it will be to clean!
