She had an animal sanctuary down here and was an animal activist all her life.

I only popped in here to ask a question and was saddened to hear of this wonderful and very talented lady's demise. Yes, I too, was a committed watcher of "The Champions" and. looking back, I'd have to admit Alex was the main reason - she was undeniably as other devotees have stated here, "Gorgeous!"

Yes, lovely lady - I was lucky enough to see her on stage at Chichester years after her Champions days - she was a fine actress.

She was the same age as me and I always wished I looked like her. No chance I am afraid at 5'2" and mousey hair, didn't have the cheekbones!

I have opined previously - and on another thread after this sad loss - that I have always regarded AB as one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen on TV.

Not only her fabulous looks and figure, but that elegant voice with the slight lisp - she was the complete package and i am very sad to hear about her death.
