My Day

Slow day today so thought I'd share mine with you.

Wake up - turn on radio and have a read
Shower
Breakfast
Remove bulbs from electric fire to go to B&Q for replacements - clean glass of said fire and end up cleaning all glass in living room
Make/receive a few telephone calls and texts
Check computer for emails and end up doing some online work for Samaritans
Play Candy Crush and have a browse of AB
Update diary
Hoover living room

Well........that was an exciting morning wasn't it. Now going to:

B&Q for said bulbs
Royal Mail to collect package because postie couldn't be bothered ringing bell
Asda for milk
Go to Samaritans to check mail and pick up calendars

Hope I'm home in time for Pointless. Well most of my day up til now has been pretty boring and pointless! Have a great day y'all.

dropped the car off at the garage for MOT on the way home this afternoon

now sitting here waiting for delivery of on-line shopping

no other plans for this evening

Thank you maggiebee for sharing. We are all in same boat with having to collect post it seems. Here is my boring day:
woke up, got up, washed, dressed, drove to work, had breakfast, worked - well some of the time - please nobody add up my posts on here today and work out how little work I actually did. Had a shower. So that's up to now.
Now going to leave work, drive to friends to help sons with homework. drive to russian lesson. drive home to pick up husband. Drive him to local hostelry for some supper.

Good day here overall, Gardener cut back a troublesome shrub - but Santa is still on the lawn. I have reduced the ransom payment from £1 to 50p.

I left a sign in the window where it couldn't be missed: Please leave parcel behind garden gate.' There's a card, we called to deliver/collect your parcel.
It's now in a PO miles away.
Walked the dog, looked at AB, did a bit of shopping. Sometimes I think all this excitement is too much for me.

Woke up at 5am. Made a cup of tea and had a ciggie or two. Did yesterdays crosswords. 6.3o dyed my hair. Whilst waiting for the colour to take I swept and mopped the kitchen floor. Had another cuppa and then a bath. Had breakfast and then prepared the dinner for tonight. Came on the PC for 30 minutes. Walked to the local ASDA, about a mile and a half. Friend of the OH came round for a cuppa. Made lunch.... Not done much else this afternoon apart from mess about on the PC. The Chase at 5pm and a nice glass of red wine and a roast chicken dinner later. So yes, very boring but I'm very grateful I can do it. Should have done my tax return though :o(

I got up at 6.30 and was at my desk before 8. I filed up some CVs for an internal job, finished writing up an action log,dealt with a lot of e-mails, got some paperwork ready for a big meeting Monday and came home about 1230. (it is Friday). Checked my holiday flight e-mail confirmation had arrived, dabbled on here then settled down for a nap on the sofa which lasted 10 minutes before cat sunk claws into my sock.

I have a day off on a Friday (yes, I know I am home every day) so have done v little but that's because I arrange my week so that there is nothing that needs doing.
