Saving an individual AB thread to desktop
5 Answers
Is it possible to save an individual question/thread onto your desktop (to be just one click away whenever you needed a laugh) - I am referring to garybaldy's post "It's an outrage!" I am still laughing my socks off at his and other brilliant wits in this thread. I thought I had it sussed when I right clicked on it and saved the target to desktop as suggested by spacechimp in another post but it didn't work. And, yes, I know I'm lucky to have socks ... !

I'll assume you're using Windows XP.
Find the thread you want to view, and in your address bar at the top of your browser you'll see something like "http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Internet-and-Technology/Q uestion208800.html"
(This is the address for this thread)
Highlight this by right-clicking and copy.
Go to your desktop and right click.
Hover over the New.
You'll then get a submenu and select Shortcut.
You're now on the Create Shortcut screen.
Paste the address you copied earlier by right clicking in the text box and select Paste.
Press the Next Button.
Type in the name you want to call the shortcut (eg Garybaldy).
Press the Finish button.
And you're done. you should have the shortcut on your desktop, double click it to check.
