It is very sad indeed - I have been involved in a couple of these in the USA as a search leader and you come away very deflated when such news comes out.

The last one was a murder of a fifteen year old girl by two seventeen year olds. "We were only playing around with guns." They got all the way to over the bridge into Canada at Windsor from Houston where they were detained by immigration, who were suspicious of their address etc. Therefore, they were pushed back to the arms of the Detroit police as they hadn't entered the country. My party of 200 folk was within 150 yards of uncovering the body when the police found her 'grave'.
