Volunteering Abroad

I'm hoping to do some travelling over the winter (December-February) but wanted to get involved with some volunteer work in a country like Thailand or Tibet.

I cant afford to pay an organisation for a placement so does anyone have any ideas on where's best to go and what to do when I'm there cos I'm a bit clueless!! lol

theres a great book I think its called volunteering overseas, or somthing like that which lists volunteering opps abroad.

Some org's will help support you with travel costs, provide accomdation and feed you in return for some hours helping them with various projects.

Ask at your local volunteer bureau, some are really good and have loads of info!
