Has anyone received an email from Paypal asking you to update and verify your account and if you don't your account will be frozen ? ?

No bank or organization asks customers to verify their accounts this way. A big giveaway is also fact you are not addressed by name.
I get one or two a week, mainly pretending to be banks I don't even have accounts with.
Delete without opening.
If you have time and want to help fight against this type of thing you can forward to the real bank or company as mojo says. I did this the other day to a couple of companies and both thanked me.

I have been addressed by name in scam emails before.
No Paypal, bank, credit card or collection agency will ever include a clickable link. They will ask you to go directly to their site and login.
p.s. Don't trust ones that say you have a parcel waiting to be delivered either.
If you get one from say, Hermes, Google hermes and copy and paste the tracking number directly into there. DO NOT click on the tracking link.
