Very We External Door.
We have an external toilet with a wooden door and frame which has become very wet due to heavy rain recently. All the wood looks OK but now the door will not close and I can't see it drying out in the near future. What is the best recommendation or do I just throw it all way and have new. I doubt I'm the only one with this sort of problem these days. This has never happened in the past.

Your obvious option would be to get a UPVC replacement, then you wouldn't have that problem again.....

Have a similar problem with our back garden gate. I personally am going to leave it for a few weeks, hopefully it will dry out enough and go back to normal. I was told many years ago if you rub a candle of the part that is rubbing it will help a bit with the sticking. If problem is still there in the spring then just plane a small amount off. If all the wood is good seems a shame to change it.
It is a personal decision as to what you do. If it is soaked now then that must be because the wood wasn't protected properly so far. I think in your shoes (having not seen the door) I'd wait until it was dried out and then decide whether to plane it down and protect it properly, or whether to replace it instead.
