For what its worth, I would agree with him - and I daresay many females might think along the same lines about male colleagues/acquaintances etc. - so much of the criticism he has received over this statement seems undeserved. This female commentator seems to, at least;

I think all he's saying is that when you meet people you assess them sexually. There shouldn't be anything stunningly controversia l about that. It's human nature.
