Rear Sensors Faulty On Citreon Ds3 Plus Electrics Are Faulty

we have 1 year manufacter warranty on 2012 citreon ds3, few days now something has went wrong with rear parking sensors, when i put car into reverse gear the sensor alarm sounds continuously when it shouldnt, even when i am no where near any object to rear of car the alarm will go off continuously .

also when i put my seat belt on 2 days ago , the seatbely alarm went off to click seat belt into place but i checked it and it was securely fitted into place, i was only person in car.

last week a front headlight bulb went and i had to change the 2 of them, i am wondering is it something to do with electrics? a fuse ? will citreon offer me anoother car untill they fix it ?

Ask Citroen. Have all your paperwork to hand when you ring them, or if it is local take your car back there and ask them. Could be a computer fault.

Check the sensors for muck & ice & general build up of road grot. Give em a wipe and see what happens. Once had a leave stuck on one of mine, gave a continuous tone.

Having read the first line of this question again, I have to ask....why have you got only ONE year manufacturer's warranty? Surely it's three years.

With regards the seatbelt warning, had you put a bag or heavyish package on the passenger seat? Some seats have a sensor in them and if the weight is great enough it will assume there is a passenger and they haven't put their seatbelt on.
