I have recently been advised by my new employer (my company has merged with another) that my office will be closing this year and re-locating 20 miles ( i.e. 1 hour's drive) away. I currently live 10 minutes' from work and this change would put a significent strain on my childcare arrangements. I currently have a "flexible working" arrangment, which means I work an extra hour four days a week. Can I force my company to be more flexible in my hours as I woudl be unable to sustain this pattern with an additional 2 hours of commuting.

Thanks,
