Help! The bonnet release (exterior front) tab has snapped. How do I open the bonnet to replace it?

Thanks in advance.

A clumsy clot by all accounts :-)

Yup! I'll own up to that one!!
Have a look to see if you can see the snapped tab , you may need to lie underneath the front of the car to see it, if you can see bonnet release tab try and turn it with a long screwdriver ( usually turns towards the car interior to release ).

Thanks Tonyav! I'll try that BUT my car is outside (no garage) and I live in Somerset and as you may have heard we are having a drop or two of rain. In fact surprise, surprise it is chucking it down now!!! I'll do it later. Many thanks.
Ah yes, forgot about the crap weather. If you are in the AA, RAC ect you could give them a ring, see if they can open your bonnet.

Pictures an AA Scuba Diver!

He'll be ok, Baldric, once he has the oxygen tanks on.
