I need some help with the last few cryptic clues, the answers are all plants or trees, both wild and cultivated, whose names include a reference to a country or place.

3 I trailed Alan around the tree (7,5)
4 Grow strangely in rodent at dreaming spires (6,7)
5 Has the cheese been tickled? (7,4)
6 Forest trap an insect (10,8)
7 A pea souper in Leeds (9,3)
8 Line on the earth connects you initially to the papers (7,7)
9 Oddly large fat donkeys pull at noblemans's drink shrun (4,2,7,8)
10 Looks like a contemptible plant in Hamlet's lawn (6,6-5)
11 The men from the fiords have a chart for the French (6,5)
12 Gabriel is a coward (6,9)
13 You can drive from these up the valley to the end of the rainbow (8,6)

lloyd1e thanks for the answer to no.12 but the answer has to have a reference to a country or place, so not sure if this is the answer they are looking for, but will go with this and hope for the best!!!
