I recently gave my daughter a deep fat frier for a car boot, it has been taking up space in my pantry for a good few years, all boxed up, used maybe a dozen times. She took the sandwich maker last year. Last week in a moment of madness I bought a breadmaking machine. I love fresh bread but my wrist is a bit arthritic now hence the machine. When it arrived I mentally found a space for it in the pantry - where the deep fat frier used to be. I used the breadmaker the other day. Not sure what happened but the lid was rising as the dough rose higher and higher. When the loaf was ready it was stuck to the lid and I eventually had to cut the top off the loaf. Not a good start and I have an awful feeling that I have bought something that is going to go the same way as the deep fat frier and the sandwich maker. Please tell me I'm not the only one who has gadgets that are never used.
