I am in the process of getting 3 estimates for some work on my kitchen. Is it usual to inform the two who do not get the job please,

an estimate is always given on the understanding that the buyer will contact the lucky winner. I think contacting the others and saying you haven't won just creates confusion.
If receiving a letter saying you haven't won creates confusion, they don't deserve to win.

Hi Mr Builder and all thanks for answers and making me chuckle, I must admit i have never told the losers before but have always felt a bit guilty about it, however it seems it is not really expected so i won't but will still feel guilty lol x
