What's the mathematical term for a 3-d shape, with 6 faces and 8 vertice, where the faces are rhombuses? I tried rhomboid, but don't think that's correct?

It's a rhombohedron.

Rhombohedron is almost certainly correct, but how about "equilateral parallelipiped"?

What about "oblique rhombic prism"? It tells you how to make them out of paper here:
