Didn't think much of this tonight. Not as funny as previous episodes. Blind fiancé was not very convincing. She looked around too much and actually recognised someone as they approached. Walked away just like a sighted person. Generally lacking all round.

purposely did not watch when I read revue about blind fiancée my late hubby went blind with diabetes complications and I don't like watching comedy on the subject, to us it was a genuine tragedy.

I agree Caran,I love this programme, last week it had me in stitches but last night only raised a couple of giggles. Thankfuully we had Benidorm.

Fans of the original will have tuned in I am sure but have been left underwhelmed I think.
Viewers new to the show will probably think "what is the fuss about - this isnt funny!!"

I gave up after episode one of Birds of a feather and Benidorm. They are not funny anymore in my opinion.

I have never found BOAF remotely amusing - but I appreciate it was very popular in its day.

That does not mean that resurection will make it funny now - always a dangerous approach.

Nostalgia is one thing, but it's not a foundation on which to build new episodes of a comedy when everyone - especially the original audience - has moved on.
