Creating An Application Form In Pdf??

Hi

I am trying to create a form for people to complete, an application form. They fill in the blanks and it can be stored and edited as things on the form change over time. In effect we can then store the form, send it to them each year to edit and review and we re save. The thing is - how do we create such a thing? I am aware of Wufoo and other web based form builders but wanted something that I can print off and take if needed.

You can do this with ms word. Go to help.

If you're going to be storing the results in a database, it would be far simpler to build an website where people could log in and provide the data. Next year, when they log in again, it would display last year's submission which they could edit as required. You could still print this off, though I can't imagine why on earth you'd want to.

You need a version of acrobat that can edit pdfs ie. not just acrobat reader.

I have Acrobat Pro CS3 and it can do it, and I discovered last week that Acrobat Standard does not have the facility to do forms.

Once you have created the fields you need to enable usage rights so the the person completing the form can save it.

You can create the document in Word, then (as long as you have a .pdf converter on your computer) you can Save As the .pdf version. I do this quite often when I create documents I don't want other people to change.

The OP wants a pdf form - not everybody has word or the same version of word.
