Got a letter from the House of Commons today which was mildly exciting although probably slightly less exciting than the live bird that fell into my wood burning stove yesterday (it wasn't lit). Boy #2 found that hilarious when we failed to catch it and it was flying around the house. Anything mildly exciting (or slightly less dull than usual) happened to you lately?

Hi Tony, all good but will require annual check ups (his aneurysm is on the joint of the artery where it divides after it enters the brain). Felt a bit woozy having it done and is a it achey in the groin region (I will delay resumption of nagging until Monday). Bit disappointed that he wasn't just given the all clear and sent on his way but I suppose it is good that they will be keeping a eye on him. Thank you for asking, your concern is appreciated, x
Got my EHIC card today. More exciting than the organ donor request that came with it.
sherr, I found out of one of the surgeons that clipped where my aneurysm occurred that they almost always pop where a vein divides into a Y shape.
Glad he's ok though, another couple of checks and I think they'll discharge him.
Poor bird. What a shock for it. Did it get outside and find its freedom in the end?
I once read that the most excitement that most people get each day is caused by their post. I got none today. No wonder I feel so underwhelmed.

Bird was fine, we have a rigid flu so it fell straight down. Flew round for a bit and then found the open back door.

Was a bit worried with the letter, thought I was in trouble at first (not that I've done anything wrong, feel the same if I see a police officer).
I'm still waiting to find out what the letter from the H of C was all about. Lol.

I moaned to our MP about changes to charging for school transport ages ago (by email, got a reply). He wrote back enclosing the reply he got from someone else, they must spend all bloody day writing formal letters to each other, all a not odd (and slow).
Cheers, sherr.
