I think it could well be existentialism. Thailand was called Siam which would go in the answer with sixties etc

I had it as an anagram of 'tale in sixties' + t (for Thailand)t hough I do think that the -ism ending makes more sense. But if you include Siam in the anagram, it leaves a t short.
