Adding Insult To Injury
27 Answers
Just back from a terrible curry (service, lukewarm food, place empty, music suddenly went off, etc) and as I was paying the waiter indicated the children and asked if they were my grandchildren. Talk about adding insult to injury :(

Andy - it is not just a British thing as you put it - you need to go and visit the Far East then. In Chinese cultures, they do not complain, they never come back. In fact, a lot of hotels and restaurants rely on Westerners to gain an impression of what they are doing wrong.........not ask Mr and Mrs Wong as they won't lose face over this.

i think that we don't complain often enough abut rubbish food and terrible service in restaurants, we have our fair share here and probably some of others, in poor eating out experiences. I have had many a bad meal, and rarely complained, paid up and left, but sometimes if its that bad i just tell them what i think, one guy in one of these harvester type places got the fully monty, it didn't make me feel any better, but as i was paying for a meal for us then thought it best they know their food was crap, cold and a complete waste of time and money.
